"Never forget the roots of your family"
A little serious of our mind:
Try to imagine, that your grandchildren can´t speak with you in your language......
Learn your family the language of the roots, so your family - children can speak their language from childhood!
Learn your family the culture of the roots, so your family understand and respect the roots e.g. Mano Po!

Moriones Festival, Marinduque The Moriones Festival is known widely as one of the most colorful festivals celebrated on the island of Marinduque and the Philippines The Moriones is an annual festival held on Holy Week on the island of Marinduque, Philippines. The "Moriones" are men and women in costumes and masks replicating the garb of biblical Roman soldiers as interpreted by local folks. The Moriones or Moryonan tradition has inspired the creation of other festivals in the Philippines where cultural practices or folk history is turned into street festivals. |

Marinduque Moriones "Via Crusis 2010". The Moriones is an annual festival held on Holy Week on the island of Marinduque, Philippines. One of the highlights of this festival is the Via Crucis. A re-enactment of the suffering of Christ on his way to the calvary. Men inflict suffering upon themselves by whipping their backs, carrying a wooden cross and sometimes even crucifixion. They see this act as their form of atonement for their sins. This weeklong celebration starts on Holy Monday and ends on Easter Sunday. |

Feast of Blessed Pedro Calungsod Dawn procession held Saturday, March 31 2012 Cebu City, as Cebu celebrates the feast of Blessed Pedro Calungsod. The feast of Blessed Pedro Calungsod is celebrated every 2nd day of April, the anniversary of his martyrdom. If the date falls within Holy Week or Easter Week, the feast is observed on the Saturday that immediately precedes Passion/Palm Sunday. If April 2 falls on a Sunday of Lent or on a Sunday of Easter, the feast is celebrated on April 1. We do not celebrate the feast of Blessed Pedro in Holy Week or Easter Week, or on a Sunday of Lent or of Easter because on these days, we have a more important celebration – the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, otherwise known as the Paschal Mystery, which is at the heart of our Christian Faith. Instead, we celebrate the feast of Blessed Pedro on the Saturday before Passion/Palm Sunday because of its significance: Blessed Pedro was martyred on April 2, 1672 which was the Saturday before Passion/Palm Sunday of that year. In the case of April 2 falling on a Sunday of Lent or Easter, the nearest Saturday is April 1. Look more about the Blessed Pedro Calungsod HERE |

KAMAHARDIKAAN SIN TAWI-TAWI - Agal-Agal Festival also
known as Seaweeds Festival 2011 The industry of Agal-Agal gave birth to Agal-Agal (Seaweeds) Festival in Tawi-Tawi. It highlights the annual celebration of the province's "Kamahardikaan." Celebrated every September 25, these festivities were unique because of the inclusion of seaweeds as materials for costumes and props. Agal-Agal seedlings were displayed while food products made with seaweeds like leche flan were a hit. Obando Fertility Festival - Ritual - Music and Dance
of Bulacan Every year in Obando, Bulacan,
many Filipino childless couples seek the intercession of patron saints
San Pascual Baylon and Santa Clara for a child to be born. This is part
of their town fiesta which is held from May 17 to 19. This tradition
dates back before the Spanish colonization of our country which lasted
over 3 hundred years. Of course, when the Spaniards came, the folk
practice intermixed with the religious practice. Filipinos these days,
especially those wanting a child, usually wear the attire worn during
the Spanish times and dance the pandango in the streets as part of the
ritual. Look more and the full description of the video
