"Never forget the roots of your family"

A little serious of our mind:

Try to imagine, that your grandchildren can´t speak with you in your language......

Learn your family the language of the roots, so your family - children can speak their language from childhood!

Learn your family the culture of the roots, so your family understand and respect the roots e.g. Mano Po!

Quezon's Code of Citizenship and Ethics

On August 19, 1939, the occasion of his 61st birthday, President Manuel L. Quezon issued Executive Order No. 217 that prescribed a set of civic and ethical precepts collectively known as the Code of Citizenship and Ethics to be taught in all schools in the Philippines.

The list, a product of a committee composed of leading jurists and political luminaries organized by the President, would eventually be turned into a 71-page volume, complete with historical anecdotes and references to the virtues Filipinos have displayed throughout the years. In a letter to the President printed as a preface to the book, the Committee wrote, “The life of a nation depends upon the moral and civic virtue of its citizens. Now, more than ever, when nations, great and small, are on the verge of collapse do we realize this fundamental truth.” Video published on Aug 18, 2014

This is your offline reference to the 1987 Philippine Constitution
The Constitution of the Philippines (Filipino: Saligang Batas ng Pilipinas) is the supreme law of the Republic of the Philippines. The Constitution currently in effect was enacted in 1987, during the administration of President Corazón C. Aquino, and is popularly known as the "1987 Constitution". Philippine constitutional law experts recognize three other previous constitutions as having effectively governed the country — the 1935 Commonwealth Constitution, the 1973 Constitution, and the 1986 Freedom Constitution. Constitutions for the Philippines were also drafted and adopted during the short-lived governments of Presidents Emilio Aguinaldo (1899) and José P. Laurel (1943).

International Humanitarian Law (IHL)

Customary international law is made up of rules that come from "a general practice accepted as law" and that exist independent of treaty law. Customary international humanitarian law (IHL) is of crucial importance in today’s armed conflicts because it fills gaps left by treaty law in both international and non-international conflicts and so strengthens the protection offered to victims.

International humanitarian law: a universal code

Is international humanitarian law up to the job of protecting the people affected by modern-day armed conflicts? This film looks in turns at the poor security conditions frequently confronting the civilian population, the fact that people often have to flee their homes, hostage-taking, the dangers posed by cluster munitions, and the work of preventing and, punishing war crimes. It tells us the basic rules of the law and reminds us that respecting them is everyone's responsibility.

Yes, you could e.g.:
Did you know that you can be deported for simply getting angry and raising your voice at a Filipino? It’s true! Let’s say that you are in a restaurant and the service is poor. You loose your cool and get angry at the waitress. She can go to the Bureau of Immigration and file a complaint against you, and most likely, you will be deported!
